Grades 7-12
Students learn how to use AI by building apps, games, and other useful projects of their own. Using tools such as ChatGPT Codex, Google Gemini, and Claude Code, they will build practical skills in creativity, productivity, and problem-solving.
This is a hands-on, project-based class where students learn by building, testing ideas, refining prompts, and improving their work with instructor guidance. As they create, they will learn core AI skills such as prompt writing, evaluating output, fact-checking, and using AI responsibly, while developing an intuition for choosing the right tools and models for different tasks, working with context length, and knowing when to plan versus when to build and iterate.
Students will strengthen their communication and presentation skills by sharing their projects, explaining their decisions, and learning from one another.
No prior AI experience is required, but students should be ready to experiment and work independently.
